While in Vegas I got to do a quick video with a guy by the name of Geoff Neupert. He knows his stuff when it comes to Kettle Bells. He is a master instructor for the organization that started the Kettle Bell craze in the US. He is the author of a book called Kettle Bell Muscle, but more importantly, I got to spend some time with Geoff and he is just and awesome guy.

Kettle Bells are an amazing tool and as Geoff explains, it uses all the muscles in the body and works your posterior chain (the connected muscle groups on the back of your body) which has a tendency to be weak and under used in today’s sedentary society. The glutes- a major part of the posterior chain and the largest muscle group in the body, burns the most calories when activated and Kettle Bells can be a blessing to the buttocks!

When training with Kettle Bells though, be sure that you are working with a trainer who is certified because the wrong movements can end up doing more bad than good as with any exercise. This is more true with Kettle Bells because during certain exercises they require more speed and power and when and a movement is done faster,  the possibility for injury goes up (especially if the form is incorrect).
