(BEAUFORT, SC August 29, 2011) – If you watched the news a couple weeks ago you might have seen the footage of Nancy Reagan’s near-fall as she walked with a group of people. The 90-year-old former First Lady stumbled, lost her balance and took a tumble, but fortunately was not hurt.

0 EarthFIT Holiday Training

Happy Holidays!  I am sitting on the top of a mountain in Trinidad staring out at a gorgeous view while typing this. My first Christmas ever celebrated in the tropics. I am usually in freezing CT on Christmas. I just did a trek through the jungle and saw fruits I didn’t know existed and a tree growing on an electrical wire, not sure how that was possible but I have a picture of it that I will post later because of technical issue I can’t post it today. Enjoy this training…

Ask Personal Trainer: The Difference Between Working Out Vs Training

Published on May 7, 2010 By Ian

I see many people come into the gym day after day sometimes 7 times a week…

After months of watching them I notice minimal change in strength, endurance and shape/form of their bodies. Now this doesn’t happen to everybody because some people are “training” and others are just “working out”.

The people without results are just “working out”. When I ask them what their goals are and how they plan on getting to their goal, they have no plan. The people who are “training” get results. They get stronger, bigger, faster, leaner or whatever their goals may be, provided they have the proper plan in place. On another note, People who are out of shape and decide to go to the gym and “workout” will lose weight.

If you didn’t do anything for a year except eat and party, then you decide to go to the gym 2 times a week and run a mile each time you will see results from just “working out” but you will plateau easily and never get close to your “upper limit” or maximum potential if you are not “training”.
